Dr. Seng Chusheng is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2005 with an MBBS, followed by Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) degree from the National University of Singapore and was subsequently appointed as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK (Orthopaedic Surgery).
Having performed over a thousand surgeries, he has vast experience in general orthopaedic trauma, and is proficient in surgeries for sports-related injuries of the knee and adult reconstruction in patients with hip and knee arthritis. In particular, he sub-specializes in foot and ankle surgery, and has achieved excellent results in foot deformity correction such as minimally invasive hallux valgus correction (bunion) surgery; complex foot and ankle fracture fixation, keyhole ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair for sports injuries of the ankle. He is also able to offer a wide repertoire of treatment options for patients with ankle arthritis, ranging from minimally-invasive arthroscopic ankle fusion to joint replacement.
Whilst practicing in Singapore General Hospital as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, his dedication and unwavering care towards his patients won him the SingHealth Service With A Heart Award.
Dr. Seng has presented extensively at many local, regional and international orthopaedic conferences including the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Scientific Meeting. In addition, he is well-published in multiple peer-reviewed journals ; shortlisted for Young Investigator Award SGH scientific conference in 2011 and also won the 2012 Japan Orthopaedic Association Travelling Award.
Dr. Seng Chusheng is currently a Visiting Consultant for the foot and ankle service at the department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital.
