Dr Sean Leong is a Consultant Dermatologist at Livingstone Dermatology with more than 10 years of clinical experience. Prior to private practice, he practiced at National University Hospital and National Skin Centre where he was exposed to patients from all walks of life and honed his skills in treating and managing various conditions such as challenging atopic dermatitis, psoriasis vulgaris and urticaria. He was also a visiting consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. As part of his stellar service, he was conferred the Service Quality Champions (Silver) award in 2021.
Dr Sean Leong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from NUS in 2012, where he was conferred various academic accolades including the V.S. Rajan Gold Medal for the top candidate in Dermatology as well as other medals for being top in Internal Medicine and Paediatric Medicine in the final MBBS examinations. He was appointed as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of UK and obtained a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from NUS in 2014. During his residency training, he also held various leadership positions including the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and was involved in the Residency Leadership Development Programme in NUHS.
He is well-published in his field and has presented at multiple dermatology conferences worldwide. During the 45th Annual Meeting of the Taiwanese Dermatological Association in 2018, he was awarded the Young Dermatologist Award for his outstanding oral presentation.
Dr Leong is passionate about education and is actively involved in teaching both medical students and dermatology trainees. He earned the National Healthcare Group Teaching Award for Junior Doctors in 2020, and the Good Teacher Award (Didactic Category) in 2022 in recognition of his efforts. Dr Leong’s practice interests include all aspects of general dermatology including atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, paediatric eczema as well as surgical dermatology, particularly nail surgery. He is a firm believer that every patient deserves compassionate and comprehensive dermatological care.
